Here's a quick guide with some tips:
gather your eligible gear
We accept in-season, functional gear. See our list of seasonally approved items here.
clean & inspect
Before you come in, clean and assess your gear for wear, defects, and missing parts. We do not accept dirty or nonfunctional gear or clothing. Please empty all pockets.
test gear
Tents must be set up during the current season to ensure all parts are included and no odors or pests. Inlfatables must be tested in the current season, and have held air for more than 24hrs (sleeping pads, bike tires, etc.) Stoves must be tested in front of us before consigning.
walk-in vs appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome with 5 items or less, any day except Wednesdays. For more than 5 items, please arrange an appointment. We usually book out a few weeks so please plan accordingly.

PRICING & AGING
PRICE GETS SET
We price items based on a variety of factors including: brand, condition, age, demand etc. Base price starts around 50% of current MSRP and is adjusted up or down based on those factors. Please let us know if you have a desired price to discuss in advance.
Items can go on sale at any time.
SELLING PERIOD
Consignment is a 3-month selling period, which may be shortened depending on the length of the season.
Each month items drop 10% in price until sold or expired. Consigners are notified of expired items via email and have 2 weeks to pick up before items are donated to the store.
GET PAID
You will receive 50% of the amount your item sold payable via check or venmo.
If priced over $150, the breakdown is:
$151-300 = 60%
$301-650 = 70%
$651 and up = 80%

CONSIGNMENT FAQ
Consignment is a mutually beneficial partnership between you and Woods + Waters. We sell your items on your behalf, splitting the profits with you. You bring your gently used outdoor gear & clothing to us and we take care of the rest!
We'll inspect your gear and/or clothing to ensure they meet our quality standards. Our team then establishes a fair selling price for your items and neatly displays them within our store. Once your item has sold, credit is applied to your consignor account. You can get a payout anytime, and your credit never expires. Easy!We accept walk-ins with 5 items or less, any day except Wednesdays. For more than 5 items, appointments are required. Contact us to set up an appointment anytime!
Appointments are slotted for an hour to ensure we have time to inspect and research items if necessary.When you arrive for a walk-in or appointment, head to our consignment intake counter where one of our staff members will assist you. Remember to check our consignment updates page first to check what we're currently accepting!
Rates:

Pricing and Monthly Discounts: Selling price is initially determined by our staff through research and current styles. Typically we price items at 50% below their retail value depending on their condition and age, although pricing may vary. Brand-new items must be discounted a minimum of 20% off of their current retail price.
We consign items for 90 days. If your items do not sell after one month, the price of your items will be lowered 10%. If they have not sold after two months, the price will be lowered an additional 10%.
*Woods + Waters reserves the right to reduce prices further for sales or other promotions. Although all possible care will be taken with your merchandise, W + W is not responsible for damage or loss.If your item does not sell within the consignment period, you have 14 days to pick it up.
In the event of an item not selling within three months, and seller does not pick up their goods, W + W will be the owner of the items and resell at a lower price, donate or dispose of the item. We work with local non-profits to ensure donated items continue to circulate in the community.
Woods + Waters sells retail and consigned outdoor adventure gear, apparel, footwear and accessories on a seasonal basis. We focus on the items you need to get outside and enjoy our local outdoor sports, such as hiking, camping/backpacking, mountain biking, cycling, climbing, paddling, etc.
The brands we accept on consignment are the high quality outdoor brands you would find at any major outdoor retailer. If you're unsure if we will accept your gear/clothing, we always encourage you to ask! We do not accept any team/ball sports or motorized sports equipment.Items must be sanitized, freshly cleaned, in good condition, and operational (bicycle tires hold air and brakes work, headlamps have batteries, camp stove will light, sleep pads hold air). Apparel must be free of rips or tears, pockets emptied.

Woods + Waters has the right to refuse any item for any reason.
No. Selling your gear on consignment will take longer than an upfront sale, but you’ll usually receive more money for your items by consigning them instead of selling for cash on the spot.
We want gear to find the perfect home, so we offer a 7-business day return with tags on and receipt present. If you miss the return window, you are welcome to re-consign items that are in season.
All items must be clean, freshly washed, in good working order and functioning properly, as determined within Woods + Waters discretion. Woods + Waters reserves the sole and exclusive right to refuse any item(s) brought in for consignment based on condition, brand, season, or other factors. If an item, after initially accepted for consignment, is subsequently found to not meet these criteria, you will be notified and asked to reclaim the item. If you do not respond to the notification or reclaim the item within 14 days of notification, Woods + Waters will assume ownership of the item and have the authority to dispose of such item within its sole discretion.
By consigning with Woods + Waters, you confirm that you are the unrestricted owner of the item(s) that you are consigning. Any Seller found to have consigned stolen items will have her/his/their account terminated and Woods + Waters will pursue appropriate legal action and cooperate with investigations into the matter.
Except as otherwise detailed in this Agreement, you will continue to own and have title to each item that you intend to sell through Woods + Waters until that item is "Sold.” An item will be considered Sold when: it is sold by Woods + Waters to a Customer and not returned to Woods + Waters within the then-current Return Policy (see Return Policy). Woods + Waters defines possession as being the moment goods are received and loaded into your Seller account through Woods + Waters' inventory management system.

Sellers earn a percentage of the pre-tax sale price of each individual item, per the following tiers:

Woods + Waters staff uses industry knowledge, MSRP, age, condition, local demand, and other considerations to determine a fair market value. If Woods + Waters sets the price for an item and later discovers a factor that impacts the fair market value of said item, Woods + Waters reserves the right to adjust the price at any time.
Woods + Waters reserves the right to mark items down or place items on sale at any time.
It is your responsibility to keep contact information up to date by immediately contact Woods + Waters to provide any updated contact and address information. Woods + Waters will have no liability for any failure to receive notices or respond to notices within the prescribed timeframes listed in this Agreement due to outdated contact information.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Woods & Waters and its affiliates, managers, staff, and other agents from and against any and all third-party suits, claims, actions, demands, liabilities, expenses and/or losses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees (“Losses”) resulting from or relating to your misrepresentation or other breach of this Agreement.
